Full groundworks packages for main contractors on retail and commercial projects. We take the package from site strip to handover: earthworks, foundations, drainage, ducting, kerbs, concrete and the external works, with our own plant and our own team on the job. One firm carries the ground, so your programme has one set of dates to manage.
One package, site strip to handover
Site strip and earthworks
Topsoil strip, reduced level dig, cut and fill, and formation trimmed to level, with arisings managed on or off site as the package requires.
Foundations and slabs
Foundations dug and poured to the engineer's details, then ground floor slabs laid and power floated ready for the frame and the fit out.
Drainage and ducting
Foul and surface water runs, chambers, channel drains and the service ducts for power, data, water and EV charging, all in the ground before the surfaces go down.
Kerbs, paving and surfacing
Kerb lines, tactile paving, bollard bases, sub-base and surfacing brought to finished levels around the store, the car park and the service yard.
Own plant, own team
Our Hitachi and JCB machines travel to site on the low loader, so the package does not wait on a hire company when the programme moves.
Site services alongside
Where it helps the project, we also run the site services: plant, skips, security, temporary fencing, fire equipment, signage and consumables.

Three packages, nine site services projects
The groundworks package for the ALDI store extension at Llantrisant is complete. We are on site at ALDI Liskeard in Cornwall and at the new ALDI food store at Brackla, Bridgend, and we run site services on nine more ALDI projects.

What does a DMV groundworks package cover?
Everything in the ground and at ground level: earthworks, foundations, floor slabs, foul and surface water drainage, service ducting, kerbs, paving, car parks and service yards. We price to the drawings and the tender pack, so the scope in our price is the scope in your documents.
What size of project do you take on?
Substantial retail and commercial packages. Current and recent work includes the store extension and car park for ALDI at Llantrisant, the store extension and new car park at ALDI Liskeard, and a new ALDI food store at Brackla, Bridgend with more than 100 parking spaces.
How do you price a package?
Send the drawings, the specification and the programme. We come back with a priced package and a programme of our own, and we tell you straight if a date or a detail does not look workable.
Do you use your own plant?
Yes. We have invested in our own Hitachi and JCB machines, and they travel to site on the low loader. Owning the plant means the programme stays ours to control and nothing waits on a hire company.
How far do you travel for a package?
We are based in Gloucester and most of our work sits across the South West and South Wales. For the right package we travel, and our live contracts now run from Cornwall to Scotland.
What is your record at handover?
At ALDI Llantrisant we demobilised 9 days before handover, with no snags at either inspection. That is the standard we work to on every package.
